László Diószegi

Diószegi LászlóLászló Diószegi is a historian and a choreographer, director of the Teleki László Foundation and, since 1993, president of the Martin György Folk Dance Association. He got Phd degree at Eötvös Lóránd University.

He has taught Hungarian folk dance in Western Europe, Japan and the United States on numerous occasions since 1981. In 2009, he was visiting professor at the Hungarian Studies program of Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana.

He has choreographed a number of shows, and is editing director of the Folk Dance Anthology and the Contemporary Folk Dance programs. His work has been acknowledged by the Harangozó and the Bezerédi prizes, as well as several other honours.
