Dear Dancers in the US and Canada,
The first three days of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival June 26-28 will include the North-American Dance-House Reunion.You can join free to advanced dance tutoring, performances and evening dance-houses. North American music bands and dance groups with advance registration will be featured in the festival program. At the narrative stage the history and importance of Hungarian folk dance-movement in North America will be discussed with leading American and Hungarian figures of the movement.
One of the highlights of the reunion will be a Gala Dance: Össztánc with all the North American dancers, who would like to join us. Anyone, INDIVIDUAL DANCERS or members of dance groups can join the choreography with learning the dance material on the videos, see the links below. Although it is a couple dance two women can also dance it together if they do not have a male dance-partner.
