Horsehair trinkets

Horsehair TrinketsHorsehair has been used to produce horse halters, nooses for catching wild boars, cords to pull wooden door handles and bands for hats.  Single hairs have been made into nooses for catching small birds. Folk artists have used horsehair to make necklaces, watch chains, needle halters, rings, and earrings, as well as to wrap buttons, pipes, and cigarette holders. Varied and refined weaving techniques include using multi-colored horsehair and beads.
