Gabriella has been the managing director of the Alliance of Folk Art Associations since 1991, the largest not for profit umbrella organization for folk craftspersons. As director, she has been the organizer of numerous domestic and international folk art events. Her previous positions include fellow at the Hungarian Institute of Culture and Education where she worked with the Folk Dancer Working Group.
She hails from Transylvania and studies at the universities of Szeged and Budapest. Her work has been instrumental in making the Festival of Arts and Crafts, the largest traditional crafts event in Hungary, an internationally renowned festival.
She is vice president of the Association of Hungarian Folk Festivals, the current rotating president of MANETA, and a member of the Folk Arts and Crafts Council. She works as editor in chief for the periodical Craft and Art.
