Tóth Lászlóné

Tóth LászlónéMy specialty is drawing the traditional motifs of Kalocsa, and I have been sharing my knowledge about the folk art of this region both in Hungary and abroad. Since 2005, I have been teaching and promoting the art of folk painting and writing through handicraft activities at children’s summer camps. I participate in Hungarian folk art events, such as the Danube Folk Festival, the Easter Festival at the Open Air Museum in Szentendre, or the Museum Festival in Budapest, where I demonstrate the art of Kalocsa-style embroidery and egg painting. I am a member of the Kalocsa Folk Art Society and the Traditional Women’s Choir of Újtelek. I am also an expert on traditional local cuisine. In 1986 and 1991, I received a certificate of acknowledgment at the Kis Jankó Bori competition. In 1987, my juried work earned me the title of Folk Artist. My work is now regularly featured in folk art exhibitions.
