Tóth Ildikó

Tóth IldikóI was born in Győr in 1962. After graduating from the Zrinyi Ilona High School, I attended the Rejtő Sándor School of Textile Arts, where I earned a degree in textile dyeing. I received professional training in the textile dyeing workshop founded by my family in 1906, where I first worked with my grandmother and later with my father. I have been licensed since 1990.

Currently, my husband and I are producing Transdanubian blue-dye fabrics using traditional handcrafted moulding and archaic methods. My works are regularly juried, and I have been awarded the title of Folk Artist. On the Day of Hungarian Culture, the 100th anniversary of my family’s blue-dyeing workshop was acknowledged with the Silver Medal awarded by the City of Győr.
