I began my career embroidering by hand at the Kalocsa Handicraft Cooperative. Later I worked at the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, where I mastered the techniques of porcelain painting. I have worked at the Kalocsa Porcelain Manufactory since its foundation, first as a group leader, and eventually as an overseer. I designed folk art motifs that were to be painted onto porcelain, as well as managed their production. The hundreds of designs resulted in numerous jury-approved patterns. My work has been sold all over Europe, as well as in the USA and Japan.
In 1995, I established a small business with the goal of preserving and passing on the folk art-traditions of Kalocsa. Our products range from traditional folk painting to hand-painted porcelain, from hand and machine sewn doilies to contemporary clothing. I actively participate in the production, from design to fabrication.
In 1996, I received the first ever Pécsiné Ács Sarolta award from the Kalocsa Folk Art Foundation.
